Philadelphia's Veterans Day Parade Celebrates Those That Served
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Philadelphia honored the those who served with the city's second annual Veterans Day parade Sunday.
The parade's vanguard featured about 300 rumbling motorcycles from all over the Delaware Valley.
Dave Racosky and Kim Titler are with the American Legion Riders.
"His father served in Vietnam, my father served in Korea," explains Kim. "We didn't serve, but we honor them that way, showing up, because of all they did good for the country."
They were followed by some 150 veterans groups, and aspiring veterans -- new army recruits, concentrating on getting and staying in step.
There was also a parade of Corvettes. In one, an American hero.
"My name's Alexander Horanzy. I'm a Pearl Harbor survivor, the last one in Philadelphia. I'm the only one, last man standing. So what you see is what you get."
