Weather today: Flood watch in effect for most of Philadelphia region
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A tornado warning for north-central Berks and northwestern Lehigh Counties in Pennsylvania expired, but a flood watch for most of the Philadelphia region remains in effect until 5:45 a.m. Tuesday.
A powerful storm system moved through the area Monday, bringing an enhanced risk of severe weather and thunderstorms. The flood watch began at 2 p.m.
The Pennsylvania counties include Berks, Carbon, eastern Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton, lower Bucks, Philadelphia, upper Bucks, western Chester, western Montgomery and Lancaster. Only Mercer County in New Jersey is under the flood watch.

Excessive runoff from the storm may cause rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone areas to overflow.

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for the following counties until midnight Tuesday.
Pennsylvania: Adams, Bedford, Berks, Blair, Bucks, Cameron, Carbon, Centre, Chester, Clinton, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware Elk, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lancaster, Lehigh, Lebanon, Lycoming, McKean, Mifflin, Monroe, Montour, Montgomery, Northampton, Northumberland, Perry, Potter, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan, Tioga, Union, Warren and York.
New Jersey: Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Salem, Somerset, Sussex and Warren Counties.
Delaware: New Castle County
