Sunny and chilly Wednesday in Philadelphia region, tracking another tropical system. Here's the full forecast.

Chilly fall weather around Philadelphia Wednesday; much-needed rain doesn't reach all of us Thursday

Wednesday morning will be the coldest of the season so far in the Philadelphia region with widespread temperatures at or below the freezing mark. The winds will not be as strong as Tuesday's, but any breeze at all will knock the wind chill down quite a bit.

In light of how warm it's been, this is going to feel cold. Definitely layer up if you're heading out in the morning. Highs will only be in the low 50s under sunny skies.

We have an east wind on Wednessday, which will push some water ashore in our coastal communities. A coastal flood advisory is in effect Wednesday for minor flooding at high tide. Parts inland are once again under a special weather statement due to the increased risk of fire spread.

Clouds will thicken up Thursday ahead of another system that has the chance for a shower on Thursday night. It will be one of those days where it looks like it could rain any second. But as the system moves east, it starts to weaken and a new low develops off the coast of the Carolinas that will start pulling moisture from this system southward.

On radar projections we see rain start to move in before the system falls apart. It looks like the bulk of the rain will miss us to the south. We could see scattered showers Thursday evening in Pennsylvania and a bit in New Jersey, with steadier rain more likely in Delaware.

At this point, it is looking dry for the Eagles game on Thursday night, but temps will be chilly. Layer up for some good fall football weather.

Then, we are back to the low 60s by the weekend.

Temps will climb back into the 60s for the weekend and the weather is, yet again, trending dry.

Also, eyes need to be back on the tropics as another system may develop and potentially become a hurricane next week.

Florida needs to keep a close eye on this one as models have it making landfall somewhere near the Fort Myers area on Wednesday. This has also delayed the moving of the SS United States. If developed, it will be named Sara. National Hurricane Center currently has a 90% chance for that to occur.
