Man dead, 2 others injured in Olney shooting, Philadelphia police say

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A triple shooting in Philadelphia's Olney section has left a 25-year-old man dead Thursday night, police said.

The shooting happened on the 5800 block of Mascher Street at around 8:20 p.m.

Police said the 25-year-old man was shot once in the back. He was pronounced dead at 8:39 p.m. at Einstein Hospital, according to police.

A 28-year-old man was shot twice in his right leg. The third victim, a 31-year-old man, was shot once in the hip. Authorities said both men were placed in stable condition.

No arrests have been made and the motive for the shooting is unclear, police said.
