Philadelphia Police Union Head Angered by Anti-Racism Protests Here

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The head of Philadelphia's police union is speaking out against continued protests over the deaths of unarmed black men in Ferguson, Mo. and Staten Island, NY at the hands of police.
Philadelphia FOP president John McNesby says protesters who criticized Philadelphia police following the death of Michael Brown and Eric Garner don't represent the wider community.
"They're just a group of professional hatemongers, and they're out there looking for trouble. This isn't Ferguson, this isn't New York -- our officers here are doing a great job," McNesby says.
McNesby criticized recent protests following a shooting in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia, in which police shot and killed an armed suspect.
"If they want to protest, maybe they should do it for everything," McNesby said today. "We had a 13-year-old shot in Wissinoming, there were no protests there."
As for protester demands for special prosecutors in police shootings, he says they're not needed.
"We have confidence in the city administrators and also the DA," McNesby says.
