Philadelphia Police Searching For Female Suspect Dressed In Muslim Garb Wanted For Multiple Bank Robberies

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are reaching out to the public for help identifying the suspect wanted for several bank robberies in Northeast Philadelphia.

On Thursday, July 9, 2015, an unknown suspect reportedly entered the Citizens Bank at 10650 Bustleton Avenue and presented a demand note to the teller.

After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled and was last seen entering a late model, dark colored Nissan Murano or Rogue SUV.

Police say the same suspect has committed several bank robberies in Northeast Philadelphia -- one at the Santander Bank at 9856 Bustleton Avenue on June 9th, another at the PNC Bank branch at 12300 Academy Road on June 16th and another at the Citizens Bank at 3200 Red Lion Road on July 7th.

The suspect is described as a black female between 5'5" and 5'7" wearing all black Muslim clothing.
