Philadelphia Police Release Names Of 5 Charged In Logan Barricade Situation

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia Police have released the names of the five men arrested for a deadly shooting and barricade situation in Logan.

The incident happened around 6 p.m. on Tuesday at 13th and W. Ruscomb Street (see previous story).

Police say two men, 24-year-old Khoeum Roeun and his brother, were shot. Khoeum Roeun later died of his injuries at Einstein Hospital, and his brother, 23, is listed in stable condition.

Witnesses apparently led police to a residence on the 1300 block of W. Ruscomb Street, and officers surrounded the property. After a brief barricade situation, officers recovered multiple firearms and made several arrests.

The following people are now charged with Murder, Attempted Murder, Criminal Conspiracy, Violation of the Uniform Firearm Act, and related of other offenses:

Sambatt Choub, 18
Tommy Savath, 21
Jerry Savath, 22
Rattanak Sarik, 28
Davey Yath, 19

Police say the suspects and the victim got into a verbal altercation.

Captain James Clarke says, "During the course of the argument, four of the males pulled out weapons. One of the weapons was a semi-automatic rifle fired several times inside of the vehicle, striking and killed the one male and injuring the other."

The suspects ran into a home and were later arrested.
