Philadelphia Police Officer Injured In DUI Accident
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A Philadelphia police officer was injured overnight after his patrol car was struck by an alleged drunk driver.
The crash happened around 2 a.m. Saturday at Broad and Tioga Streets.
Authorities say the driver who struck the police cruiser remained at the scene and is being charged with DUI.
The officer involved was taken to Temple University Hospital with minor injuries.
It was unclear if the severe weather conditions also played a role in the accident.
