Philadelphia Police Arrest Man For Repeatedly Impersonating A Police Officer
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia Police have arrested and charged a man with impersonating a police officer.
On Nov. 24 and Nov. 25, the victim was reportedly on the 3100 block of North Broad Street when he was approached by Christopher Keiter, who identified himself as a Philadelphia Police Officer.
Each time, the victim was handcuffed while inside a corner store.
Keiter reportedly took money from the victim and stated that it was being kept as evidence and would only be returned if the victim went to the 7th floor of City Hall.
Officials say Keiter was later arrested and has three previous arrests, which include two for impersonation of a police officer and one for impersonating a firefighter.
The 28-year-old Keiter was charged with Robbery, impersonation of a police officer, and false imprisonment.
