Philadelphia International Ranked Among Worst Airports In North America
By Hadas Kuznits
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia International Airport received a poor ranking this month, according to a survey on a travel website, but many travelers believe the website got it wrong.
Those surveyed on the website sleepinginairports.net ranked Philadelphia International as the sixth-worst airport in North America -- but most travelers at PHL say they had a good travel experience.
"Everything seemed clean and in working order," said one woman, "and most stuff was close together and they had a wide variety of food choices."
Many travelers were quite surprised with Philadelphia's airport ranking.
"I thought it was good," said another woman. "It was clean, fast-moving. I felt safe."
Some of them say they've experienced a whole lot worse elsewhere.
"Probably Atlanta," said one man. "It wasn't friendly service."
"I'm from Mobile, Alabama," said another man. "We have like a really small regional airport, so Philadelphia's obviously a lot bigger and nicer. So I think it's a good airport!"
New York's Laguardia Airport was named the worst airport in North America while Islamabad Benazir Bhutto International Airport in Pakistan was named the worst airport in the world.
