Pennsylvania AG Kane Launches Website To Combat "Smear Campaign" Against Her

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Pennsylvania's embattled attorney general is fighting back via the web. Kathleen Kane has launched a website to combat what she calls "a smear campaign" against her.

Kane has been the subject of a grand jury probe into whether she leaked information from a prior grand jury to the Philadelphia Daily News. Ironically, the Kane grand jury has, itself, been full of leaks and Kane's attorney Lanny Davis says both the grand jury and the leaks are sexist, partisan attacks in retaliation for Kane's uncovering pornographic emails that circulated among Republican officials.

"They're angry, professionally embarrassed men," he says.

Davis says he doesn't know exactly who they are, but since some publications are reporting leaks that he maintains are untrue, he helped Kane set up the website to counter them.

"We needed to have somewhere people could turn to that is all of the facts," he says.

Davis says it's gotten a good response since going up Friday.
