PennDOT: Two I-95 Ramps In Philadelphia Closed At Night Next Week

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – PennDOT says two ramps at the I-95 Cottman Avenue interchange in Philadelphia will be closed at night next week for construction.

Officials say the northbound I-95 off-ramp to Cottman Avenue will be closed for bridge construction and barrier work on Sunday, August 23 through Saturday, August 29 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Drivers who normally use the off-ramp will be directed to stay on I-95 north and exit at the Academy Road Interchange, turn right on Linden Street and right on State Road south back to Cottman Avenue.

Additionally, the Princeton Avenue on-ramp to I-95 north will be closed for bridge construction on Saturday, August 23 through Saturday, August 29 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Officials say motorists will be detoured north on State Road, left on Linden Avenue then right on the ramp to I-95 north at the Academy Road Interchange.

PennDOT says drivers should allow more time for travel through these work areas.
