Penn State's James Franklin Wins Big Ten Coach Of The Year
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- On Tuesday, the Big Ten Conference named their defensive and special teams honors as well as their two coach of the year names.
One of the coaches, voted on by his fellow coaches, was Wisconsin's Paul Chryst who won the Hayes-Schembechler Coach of the Year Award. The other award, the Dave McClain Coach of the Year award, was awarded to Penn State's James Franklin.
Penn State Beats Michigan State To Reach Big Ten Title Game
That honor is voted on by the media.
A 45-12 win over Michigan State won the Big Ten East Division for Penn State who boasts an 8-1 conference record. Franklin led the Nittany Lions on a much better than expected run this season.
Chryst and Franklin will square off on Saturday in the Big Ten Conference Championship Game.
