Paleopalooza Takes Place At Academy Of Natural Sciences

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's a celebration of dinosaurs. Paleopalooza is taking place Saturday and Sunday at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University.

Rarely displayed fossils can be seen, there's a live animal show, and a chance to ask questions to the scientists making major contributions in the field of paleontology.

"We have terrific speakers coming in to talk about sort of some of the new ways that we are studying paleontology, so new ways of looking at these ancient bones," says Jason Poole, coordinator of Dinosaur Hall at the Academy of Natural Sciences, "including like rapid prototyping dinosaurs and turning them into robotic experiments, which are really cool, and on that same vein we have a exhibit full of animatronics dinosaurs."
