PA Poll: Clinton Strong Lead, Trump And Kasich Battle It Out

HARRISBURG, Pa. (CBS) -- A new Franklin and Marshall College poll shows Hillary Clinton cruising along in Pennsylvania, while Donald Trump finds himself in a dogfight on the Republican side.

With the Pennsylvania primary a little more than a month away, the Franklin and Marshall College Poll shows Clinton leading among Democratic voters 53-percent to 28-percent over Bernie Sanders.

But on the Republican side, John Kasich, with 30-percent, is right behind Donald Trump who has 33-percent. Ted Cruz has 20-percent. F&M Poll Director Terry Madonna says Kasich is doing well among GOP voters in the Philadelphia region.

"The moderate Republicans in the southeast comprise the largest component of moderate Republican voters in the entire state," Madonna says.

The F&M Poll also shows that in the Democratic race for the U.S. Senate nomination, Joe Sestak has comfortable lead over Katie McGinty -- Sestak 31-percent, McGinty 14-percent.
