One Injured In Center City Apartment Fire

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- One person was hospitalized after a small, early morning apartment fire in Center City Philadelphia.

Flames broke out shortly before 5:45 a.m. Sunday on the seventh floor of the 2040 Market Street building.

Authorities say the blaze was placed under control in about 15 minutes.

One person was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital in unknown condition.

The fire caused brief street closures in the area.

There was no word on what sparked the blaze. It remains under investigation.
