Back bay flooding and power outages are the main problems from the blizzard down the shore. The blizzard took the Saturday morning high tide to 8 and a half feet here.
While that's not quite Sandy levels, it's enough to turn several main streets into small rivers. Officials label it a "10 year event". Even locals who usually take winter storms in stride say this one is bad, although some are resigned to whatever Mother Nature has in store.
"You live on an island with water and where is water supposed to go? Water has to level off," bayside resident Barbara Betson told KYW Newsradio.
The shore is dealing with extreme flooding as a winter storm barrels down on the region.

Given the full moon, high tides through Sunday morning could be particularly troublesome up and down the Jersey coast. And the heavy wet snow has brought down several power lies, leaving thousands in the dark.
