Nutter Thrilled Forbes' 'Under 30 Summit' Makes Philly Long-Term Home

By Jim Melwert

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Forbes Magazine says its annual "Under 30 Summit" -- which debuted in Philadelphia -- will make the City of Brotherly Love its home for the foreseeable future.

Forbes Magazine's 30 Under 30 list is 600 innovators under the age of 30 selected from 20 categories. And as the magazine announces that list, it's also announcing Philadelphia will be the long-term home for the summit.

Mayor Michael Nutter says city officials are proud it's staying in Philadelphia:

"The summit, arguably the most influential gathering of millennials in the world, will bring together more than 2,000 young entrepreneurs and leaders to our city."

This year's summit is scheduled for October 4th-7th at the Pennsylvania Convention Center with dozens of events planned around the city.
