Police: 6 Injured, Arrest Made In North Philadelphia Arson Fire

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Authorities are investigating an arson fire that injured half a dozen people within a home in North Philadelphia.

Officials were called to the scene just before 6:30 p.m. Sunday along the 3300 block of North 15th Street, near Ontario Street.

Police say a 32-year-old man was injured after jumping from a 2nd floor window and sustaining injuries to his face. He is said of have been placed in stable condition.

Four other men, ages 62, 49, 39 and 34 were taken to Hahnemann University Hospital for smoke inhalation.

Police say a 23-year-old man suffered burns to his hands.

Investigators say the fire has ruled an arson and an arrest has been made.

The identity of the suspect has not been released at this time.
