Nick Sirianni "hopeful" Lane Johnson will start Saturday
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Does everyone feel like this week is dragging or is it just for Eagles fans?
We're two days away from the Eagles-Giants Divisional Round matchup, and it can't get here soon enough.
Some positive news for the Birds, Nick Sirianni said in a press conference Thursday he is "hopeful" offensive tackle Lane Johnson will be able to play Saturday.
Johnson missed the last two games with a groin injury.
Jalen Hurts and the rest of the Birds were back on the practice field Thursday morning. But they were inside the bubble due to rain.
Head coach Nick Sirianni said Thursday morning good practices have been the key to the Birds' success all season long.
"We know we're growing because of the way we work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. So, now we're 17-18 weeks into this and we should be playing our best football by now because we're continuing to grow," Sirianni said.
Sirianni said he's hopeful Lane Johnson will be able to play Saturday.
The Eagles look to go 3-0 against the Giants this season and advance to the NFC Championship game for the first time since the 2017-18 season when they won the Super Bowl.
