New Poll Finds Sandy Recovery Ratings Falling For Gov. Christie

TRENTON, N.J. (CBS) - A new poll shows a growing dissatisfaction within New Jersey when it comes to recovery from Hurricane Sandy almost a year and a half ago. And more often than not, residents blame the state for delays in aid.
Early post-Sandy polls gave Governor Christie high marks. 76-percent approved just last fall. Not anymore, according to the Monmouth University poll.
"Forty-eight percent right now are satisfied with the state's recovery effort verses 43-percent who are dissatisfied," poll director Patrick Murray said. "This is the first time we've seen these numbers drop below 50% since the storm hit."
So what happened? Murray sums it up in one word: Bridgegate. The ongoing scandal has prompted many people, Democrats and independents mostly, to reconsider everything around the once popular Governor. And when asked who's to blame for the slow recovery, 47-percent point to the Christie Administration and 36-percent say it's FEMA.
