New Jersey election results show live vote count for the 2024 races
TRENTON, N.J. - Vice President Kamala Harris won New Jersey in the 2024 election, CBS News projects.
On the national level, CBS News projects former President Donald Trump will become the 47th President of the United States.
New Jersey has voted for the Democratic candidate in every election since 1992.
In the battle for control of Congress, Democratic Rep. Andy Kim defeated Republican businessman Curtis Bashaw in the closely-watched race to replace New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez, who resigned after being convicted on corruption charges.
Arguably the most-watched House race in the Garden State was between Rep. Thomas Kean, Jr. (R) who defeated Susan Altman (D) in the 7th District, CBS News projects.
