KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. (CBS) -- A ribbon cutting was held today for a new Children's Hospital of Philadelphia facility in King of Prussia (Montgomery County), Pa.

The new, 135,000-square-foot facility will house all the services that CHOP has offered in King of Prussia, including urgent care, but this facility also has an ambulatory surgery center.

Dr. Ted Ganley, director of CHOP's sports medicine program, says that in some cases, a child can have surgery and go home the same day.

"We'll have two ORs, six pre-op rooms, and eight post-anesthesia care rooms," he noted.  "It will be staffed by CHOP pediatric surgeons who are board certified, our anesthesiologists who are board certified, full-time pediatric nurses, all with training in operating rooms or the intensive care units."

Services are moving from the current location to the new building on Goddard Boulevard.  All services are expected to be up to full speed by July.
