More Seats, Better Video Screens Being Added at the Linc

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Lincoln Financial Field is a construction zone these days, as crews add seats and new video screens to the Eagles' home stadium.
This is phase two of a major refurbishment for the Linc, now eleven years old.
Last year, the team added new security lanes and historical graphics.
This year, new HD end zone scoreboards are going in, and nearly 1,600 seats are being added in three formerly open corners.
Jason Miller, the Eagles' senior VP of operations, says two new bridges and an escalator are being built to help fans move about.
"The point of this is for the fan enhancement," he said today, "to really get them into the stadium quicker, get their food quicker, get their drinnks quicker, get back to their seats so they can actually watch the game."

The $90-million work started in January, right after the Eagles' season ended. It's expected to be finished in time for a soccer match scheduled for August 2nd.
