Montgomery County Student Attending White House Film Festival

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A Montgomery County teenager is attending a pretty special film festival, today -- at the White House. He's one of the winning entries in the first-ever White House student film festival.
"I spent a lot of time thinking about what sort of things might exist in the future and how the classroom dynamics might change," says Daniel Nemroff, a junior at Friends Central.
Nemroff is an aspiring filmmaker, so he jumped at the chance to enter the White House's contest for films about the role of technology in the classroom. His effort -- the classroom of the future -- shows students doing assignments on rectangles of clear glass, and teachers demonstrating chemical properties and planet movement using holograms.

But Nemroff says the special effects were secondary, "who knows if there are going to be holograms or any of that stuff? It's really about how are the dynamics going to change, the role of the teacher and the role of the students."
Nemroff's film was one of about a dozen chosen from among more than 2,000 entries.
