Mitt Romney: Donald Trump 'Very, Very Not Smart'

PHILADELPHIA (CNN) -- Mitt Romney sharply criticized Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump Thursday, blasting his foreign policy positions and his personal behavior.

"Donald Trump tells us that he is very, very smart," the 2012 GOP nominee said at a speech in Salt Lake City. "I'm afraid that when it comes to foreign policy he is very, very not smart."

Later, the former Massachusetts governor slammed Trump's personal life.

"There is dark irony in his boasts of his sexual exploits during the Vietnam War while John McCain, whom he has mocked, was imprisoned and tortured," Romney said.
