Trial For Philly Officer Accused Of Dumping Pit Bull In Trash Begins Monday
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A Philadelphia police officer accused of dumping a dog in a local park is scheduled for trial Monday.
Investigators say that in November, Michael Long put Cranberry the pit bull in a trash can at Wissahickon Valley Park.

Long faces charges, including animal cruelty.
Long was a Philadelphia police officer for 11 years.
