Michael Carter-Williams To Once Again Compete In NBA's Skills Challenge

By Ray Boyd

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- For the second straight season, Michael Carter-Williams has been invited to participate in the Taco Bell Skills Challenge at NBA All-Star Weekend. The event centers around the league's top ball-handlers taking part in an obstacle course of tasks as they are timed.

Last year's event used a teammate format in which the players were paired with another competitor. Carter-Williams was paired with the Magic's Victor Oladipo.

The pair lost the event to Trey Burke (Jazz) and Damian Lillard (Trailblazers) by just a tenth of a second.

On Saturday, February 13th, Carter-Williams will get the chance to make up for the nail-biting loss.

Joining Carter-Williams this year will be, Burke, Jimmy Butler, Brandon Knight, Kyle Lowry, Jeff Teague, Isaiah Thomas and John Wall. The NBA will use a bracket format that will pit Carter-Williams against Teague in round one.
