Mark Sanchez: 'If You're Confident, No Problem Helping Another QB'
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Did Mark Sanchez take a subtle shot at his former teammate?
Sam Bradford and his new two-year, $36 million contract continues to sit out of the Philadelphia Eagles' voluntary offseason workouts after the team traded up to pick No. 2 drafting North Dakota State quarterback Carson Wentz.
Sanchez, who is now with the Denver Broncos after backing up Bradford in Philly last season, was asked about his new team selecting Paxton Lynch with their first-round selection (No. 26 overall).
"I'm thrilled about the opportunity," Sanchez said via USA Today. "If you're confident in your ability, you have no problem helping a guy."
Sanchez, Lynch, and 2015 seventh-round pick Trevor Siemian are the only three quarterbacks on the roster of the defending Super Bowl champions. Sanchez looks like the front-runner, amazingly, to be the Week 1 starter.
