Man Wearing Spider-Man Mask Accused Of Robbing Pa. Pool Hall

UNIONTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Police were continuing to search for a man charged with helping rob a western Pennsylvania pool hall wearing a Spider-Man mask.

State police say 27-year-old Shane Shipley, of Perryopolis, managed to escape when troopers tried to arrest him Wednesday at a residence in North Union Township on Wednesday.

Police have charged Shipley in the June 22 robbery of JC's Pool Hall in the same township, about 35 miles south of Pittsburgh.

One of two other men already arrested for the robbery has told police that Shipley was the third robber that night, and that Shipley participated because he needed money to buy drugs.

One of the others was arrested when police looking for suspects saw him dumping a cash drawer from the pool hall into an apartment complex trash receptacle.
