Man Struck, Killed By SEPTA Train In West Philly

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Officials say a man is dead after he was struck by a SEPTA train Saturday afternoon in West Philadelphia.

This happened at the 40th Street Station around 3 p.m.

Officials say the victim was struck by a Market Frankford El train heading eastbound.

Not much more information is available at this time.

Service was disrupted for several hours after the incident, but has been restored.

Officials are investigating.
