Man Pistol-Whipped, Shot During Robbery In Fern Rock
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police say a man was pistol-whipped and shot during a robbery overnight in North Philadelphia.
It happened around 1 a.m. Wednesday in the courtyard of the Regency Apartments at Olney Street and Ogontz Avenue in the city's Fern Rock section.
Police say three men hit the 44-year-old victim with a gun, shot him in the right side, and then ran away with about $100.
The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Authorities are searching for the suspects.
