Man Drives Himself To Hospital After Being Shot In Head In North Philly

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Authorities say a man was shot in the head in North Philadelphia Saturday afternoon, then drove himself to the hospital.

This happened around 1:15 p.m. on the highway at 11th and Lehigh Avenue.

Authorities say the 46-year-old victim received a graze wound on his forehead after a rolling gun battle between two cars, then drove himself to Episcopal Hospital where he was placed in stable condition.

A SEPTA bus reportedly drove through the intersection during the shootout, but was not struck by any of the bullets.

The shooting is under investigation.
