Man Charged After Spitting On Officers, Claiming To Have COVID-19, Cherry Hill Police Say

CAMDEN COUNTY, N.J. (CBS) -- A man in Camden County has been charged after spitting on officers, claiming to have COVID-19. It happened after 2 a.m. Wednesday at the Cherry Hill Police Department.

The man was taken to a hospital, where he also assaulted two workers and a sheriff's officer.

The suspect faces several charges, including three counts of throwing bodily fluid at law enforcement.

Police have not said if the suspect has COVID-19.
