Man Arrested In Connection With Triple Murder In Kensington

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police have arrested a Kensington man in connection with a triple murder at his home Sunday morning.

Forty-six-year-old James Dickson of the 600 block of East Westmoreland Street is charged with three counts of murder, one count of attempted murder and related crimes.

Police say a radio call was received Sunday morning just before 4 o'clock of a barricaded man inside a home at Dickson's address. The dispatcher said the caller said he shot three people inside the home, but was not opening the door until the sun came up. The caller also said he had a shotgun.

Officers surrounded the property and Dickson surrendered to police at 5 a.m.

Inside, police found two men and one woman dead. A fourth victim had been shot in the arm and was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.
