Man Arrested After Standoff With Police In Fishtown

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A man is in police custody after a brief standoff with police in Philadelphia early Monday morning.
The incident started at about 7 a.m. at Sepviva and Berks Streets in the city's Fishtown section.
According to investigators, officers were called to the scene for the report of an armed man inside a car.
A standoff ensued and during the standoff, it is believed that officer discharged their weapons.
At about 9 a.m., the suspect surrendered and was taken into custody.
There were no reports of injuries to police or the suspect.
It was not immediately known why the suspect was in the car with a gun in the first place.
The incident remains under investigation.
