Loved Ones Gather to Remember Murdered Port Richmond Mother
By Kristen Johanson
PHILADELPPHIA (CBS) - It's been three months since a young Port Richmond mother was shot and killed inside her home on Aramingo Avenue.
On Saturday, outside the same house where 22-year-old Stephanie Dzikowski was killed, family and friends gathered to remember, and renew efforts to find her killer.
Police say Dzikowski was found shot in the head on July 30th, inside her upstairs bedroom. They say her two-year-old daughter was inside the house at the time, but was uninjured.
"I am without a daughter, and my granddaughter is without a mother," says Stephanie's father, Stephen. "She was a very intelligent person. She was trying to better her life for her and her daughter. She never did nothing wrong."
Now, he says, they are calling on police for answers, and for the public's help in finding her killer:
"I just keep my head up every day. Say a prayer. Hope to God that they find person very soon, before somebody else gets murdered."
There is a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
