Locals React To Hillary Clinton's Historic Win

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The chair of a local women's group is reacting to Hillary Clinton's historic nomination.
Jeanette Krebs leads the non-profit, non-partisan Pennsylvania Women's Forum, which pushes for more women in politics.
She says after Clinton came up short in 2008, she wasn't sure when a woman would top a ticket.
"It was a long time coming and it's really, really exciting."
As for why women have been presidents and prime ministers in other countries but it's taken this long a woman to be a major nominee here, she says, "I think it's easy to say something like 'there's a bias in our country, people are not ready, we're not ready for it,' but I think it's a lot more complicated than that."
She hopes Clinton inspires women to serve and shake things up, noting as an example the all-male Pennsylvania congressional delegation.
