Local Sports Legend To Auction Off Some Memorabilia For Charity

By Mike DeNardo

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A Philadelphia sports legend is auctioning some of his memorabilia collection to benefit his charity.

Randall Cunningham, the Eagles Hall-of-Fame quarterback of the '80s and '90s, has a different calling these days, as pastor of Remnant Ministries in Las Vegas.

Cunningham is putting 100 pieces of memorabilia including game balls, cleats, jerseys and his three Bert Bell MVP awards up for auction to raise money for a youth rec center, says David Hunt of Hunt Auctions.

"He coaches youth athletics, does his Remnant youth group projects out there in Nevada where he lives, and currently is working on a multimillion-dollar youth complex."

The online bidding has begun. A live auction will happen January 31 in Arizona.
