Local Gynecologist Pens Books To Help Women Become More Informed
By Lynne Adkins
PHILADELPHIA (CBS)--A local gynecologist has written a book to help women become more informed patients.
We know that female's bodies and issues change over time and so do the questions they should be asking, according to Dr. Scott Thornton, a gynecologist at Holy Redeemer Hospital.
He expects women to use his book, "Ask Your Gyenecologist" as a reference tool to research issues they face at different stages of life.
"They look and it looks like something that could be of significance, they'll have the background they need to get right to the point when they get in to see their doctor, without the doctor having to pre-educate them when they come to the decision making process."
It discusses such issues as birth control choices, infertility, hormonal therapy and sexually transmitted diseases.
