Larry Drew II Gets Second 10-Day Contract With Sixers
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Sixers announced on Monday afternoon that they have decided to sign guard Larry Drew II to a second 10-day contract. Drew II was signed as Tony Wroten experienced issues with his knee.
Since, Wroten has been diagnosed with a partial tear in his ACL that will require surgery. The injury has created a continued need for Drew's services.
The Sixers also announced that Michael Carter-Williams would not be available for their game against the Pelicans on Monday night. Drew II will get the start in his place; the first start of his NBA career.
Drew II has appeared in six games with the Sixers. He is averaging five points and four assists in nearly 19 minutes per contest.
