Landon Donovan Left Off US World Cup Roster
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The face of United States Soccer, Landon Donovan, was left off of the final 23-man roster for the 2014 World Cup. The U.S. Soccer team made the announcement via Twitter on Thursday afternoon.
Donovan, 32, has played in the past three World Cups for the U.S, going back to 2002 and has appeared in more World Cup matches, 12, than any other U.S. player. Donovan expressed himself on Facebook, writing he was "very disappointed" with the decision.
