KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. (CBS) -- Firefighters extinguished a fire that broke out inside the King of Prussia Mall early Wednesday morning.

According to mall officials, the fire started shortly after 5 a.m. in a kiosk located on the Lower Level of The Plaza between JCPenney and Sears.

Firefighters responded and the small fire was placed under control about 20 minutes later. The fire was confined to the kiosk area.

After extinguishing the fire, firefighters worked to ventilate heavy smoke out of the food court.

"The fire damage is confined to the kiosk, everything else is smoke damage," said King of Prussia Fire Company Chief Jim Gallagher. "Particularly any establishment that has food products, we're waiting for the county health department to arrive so they can give their OK on what stores can open and cannot open."

The Montgomery County Fire Marshall determined the fire was electrical.

The mall is expecting to operate under normal business hours Wednesday, opening at 10 a.m.

There were no injuries.

The King of Prussia Fire Department is leading the investigation as to determine the exact cause of the fire.
