Standings

Chip Kelly - 3 points
Nick Foles - 2 points
LeSean McCoy - 1 point

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- We're four days away from the opening of the highly anticipated 2014 Eagles season. With the Phillies ten games under .500, the Flyers about a month away from beginning their season, the Sixers ready to embark on their double-tank campaign, and the lofty expectations for the Eagles, Philadelphia is as fired up for football as ever before.

Naturally---on September 3rd---the Eagles are dominating the King of Philly power rankings.

3. LeSean McCoy

'Shady' enters the 2014 season as the NFL's reigning rushing champion, after tallying 1,607 yards on the ground last year. McCoy, 26, has hopes for 2,000-plus rushing yards in 2014 and with the addition of Darren Sproles in the Eagles' electric backfield, McCoy will hopefully be able to stay fresh and achieve that goal.

'Shady' could very well be Philly's biggest star.

2. Nick Foles

Foles is coming off a ridiculous 27 touchdown, two interception season where he led the NFL in passer rating and, more importantly, led his 10-6 team to a NFC East division title. Foles, 25, enters his third NFL season as the starting quarterback for the first time in his career.

Philadelphia has quickly fell in love with the uneventful quarterback from Texas.

1. Chip Kelly

All Chip did in his first NFL season was take the 2012 4-12 Eagles and turn them into the 2013 10-6 NFC East champion Eagles. He took the 15th ranked offense and made them the second best offense in football. He did all that with a second-year quarterback and came a mere field-goal miss away from winning a playoff game against Sean Payton, Drew Brees, and the New Orleans Saints.

Heading into 2014, while the haters still exists of course, Kelly is finally getting praise all over the NFL. In fact, he was named the 5th most influential person in the league.

The Eagles currently have the seventh shortest odds (20/1) to win the Super Bowl, according to Bovada LV, and are the clear-cut favorites to repeat as NFC East champs. Also, the aforementioned Foles and McCoy are both MVP candidates and much of their individual success (especially Foles) is vastly credited to Kelly and his new, fast-paced, sleep-heavy, eat-healthy coaching style.

The fans love Chip, the players love Chip, and the media embraces Chip. #InChipWeTrust

Right now, Chip Kelly is the King of Philadelphia sports.

HONORABLE MENTION: Cole Hamels
