Joan Rivers began working for QVC 24 years ago, hawking her own line of jewelry, clothing and accessories, in a way that only she could carry off.

"Slightly stretch jersey, beautifully lined so it's not gonna go up your **** crack, the colors are beautiful."

Rivers made more than $1 billion through her QVC collection, and more than once compared selling the line to show biz.

"You can't sit back in television, you're only as good as your last shot, and this is the same business, you can love me, love me, love me, but if you don't think this is a pretty earring, that's it. She's lost it. I don't like her stuff anymore."

QVC issued a statement on their website, saying Joan was not only "an extraordinary comedian, writer, producer and business leader, but also a generous and caring spirit, who inspired us to be better every day."

CBS 3 Eyewitness News spoke with one of Rivers' on-air partners QVC's Jane Treacy.

"The kindest person you would ever meet. Worried about were you hungry, were you tired, she was kind to everybody in this building. And she had such compassion. She would know if there was maybe something a little off in your day. And I think some people are surprised because she was so funny and hilarious, but there was this soft, nurturing, mothering side to Joan Rivers and she showed it to everybody," Treacy said.

Treacy went on to say that during commercial breaks Joan always kept her laughing.
