MILFORD, Pa. (CBS) -- If you're itching for a romantic Valentine's hideaway in a Pocono setting, but away from the ski resort energy, than consider Milford, Pennsylvania on the Delaware River.
A spacious room with a bed you can get lost in, a double shower with heated towel racks, a rose on her pillow and a bottle of bubbly on ice. That's just part of Valentine weekend at the dazzling Hotel Fauchere in the heart of a walkable town that retains the flavor 19th century America.
But Fauchere owner Sean Strub says the magic starts on the drive from Philadelphia through the pristine Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.
"A 30-mile transition of this gorgeous, natural country with nothing commercial, no houses," Strub says, "and then at the end of it, like a wonderland."
