Jane The Virgin's Season Two Ends, But Had An Amazing Lineup Up Of Special Guest Stars (Spoilers!)

By Valerye Griffin

The season two finale of Jane The Virgin ended with a gut cliffhanger.

SPOILER ALERT: Don't read below if you haven't seen it yet!

The good: Jane and Michael finally got the wedding we've been all waiting for, but was not exempt of a few hiccups along the way. The bad: Anezka carries out a sneaky plan that leaves Petra in a hospital bed perhaps indefinitely. Also, Xo got way more than she bargained for in result of her rendezvous with Estaban, arch nemesis of Rogelio. The very ugly: Mutter is not dead, and Michael's fate now hangs in the balance.

With all the explosive storylines this season up until the very end, you couldn't help but notice the amazing special guest stars Jane The Virgin had for season two. Let's take a look back at five of the best guest stars spanning over this season.

Ke$ha

Singer-Songwriter Ke$ha made a guest appearance as Jane's noisy neighbor who wasn't exactly friendly. The cameo was made early in the season with making Ke$ha the first major guest star on episode two.

Britney Spears

The reigning pop princess of the 2000s made her presence known on Jane The Virgin as none other than herself. Britney Spears not only appeared as herself, but she also reminded us why she was a pop star during her dance scene with Jane. Although it was short, we got to experience a great nostalgic moment as Spears danced to her 2003 hit, Toxic.

Derek Hough

The Emmy award winning Derek Hough of Dancing With The Stars did just that on Jane The Virgin – danced. In one of many of Jane's daydreaming sequences, Hough does a Salsa routine with a thesis character of Jane's.

Debbie Allen

Television veteran, Debbie Allen made a small appearance as "Beverly Flores", a vice president of Simon & Schuster who was interested in reading Jane's written work. Allen who has an extensive background in directing television (Greys Anatomy, Scandal, Girlfriends) also directed two episodes for Jane The Virgin last season.

Bruno Mars

Possibly the sweetest scene of this season's finale was Jane and Michael's first dance after their wedding. And of course Rogelio couldn't let the moment pass without inviting his "third best friend in the world", Bruno Mars to sing.

This season of Jane The Virgin was not only keeping us on the edge of our seats, but also gave us many surprises. Even though the second season is over, you can catch up on Hulu or download The CW App today!
