It All Comes Down To This: Flyers/Rangers Game #7

By Matt Leon

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's back up to New York for the Flyers.

After staying alive with a very impressive, 5-2 win over the Rangers in Game #6 of this series, the Flyers will battle the Rangers tonight at Madison Square Garden in the decisive Game #7.

The Game #6 performance was easily the Flyers most complete and impressive of this series. It featured a Wayne Simmonds hat trick, his first in post-season play, and 34 saves in net by Steve Mason.

The Flyers continue to smother the Rangers power play. In Game #6, New York was 0 for 5 with the man advantage and the Flyers have now killed off New York's last 20 power plays in this series. On the flip side, the Flyers were 2 for 3 with the man advantage in Game #6, and their power play is now clicking at a 31.6% success rate (6 for 19) for the series.

This will be the 16th Game #7 for the Flyers in their history. They have gone 9-6 in the first 15. The Rangers are 6-5 in Game #7's.

The winner tonight gets the Pittsburgh Penguins next. The Penguins eliminated Columbus in six games in the first round.

KYW's Matt Leon spoke with Sarah Baicker of CSNPhilly.com about what to look for in tonight's win or go home battle.
