Investigation Underway After Ship Runs Aground In The Delaware River
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- An investigation is underway after a ship ran aground in the Delaware River.
Chopper 3 was over the scene Wednesday afternoon near the Burlington Bristol Bridge.
Officials say the ship, a Liberian-flagged 600-foot bulk carrier, was headed southbound when it reportedly lost power and ran aground at around 2 p.m.
The Coast Guard responded to the scene.
There were no reported injuries during in the incident.
Officials say the ship was re-floated and is en route to safe anchorage for further investigation.
