In Case You Forgot, LeSean McCoy Is Returning This Week
By Kevin McGuire
You might have heard, or perhaps you simply forgot, former Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy is returning to Lincoln Financial Field this Sunday with his new team, the Buffalo Bills. You have thought somebody would have mentioned that storyline this week.
McCoy Vs. Chip Finally Clashes On Field
There is no secret that McCoy expressed some dramatic thoughts about Eagles head coach Chip Kelly after he was traded to Buffalo. Now McCoy finally gets a chance to show just how much of a mistake that really was. Kelly was accused of being racist by McCoy, and the former Eagles running back stands by those comments.
McCoy Should Look In A Mirror
Who is to blame for the separation between the Eagles and McCoy? It might just be the running back, who has let his ego get the best of him and led him to run wild with his unfiltered thoughts. Joseph Santoliquito says McCoy only has himself to blame for the way things turned out in Philadelphia. Former Eagles player and NFL head coach Herm Edwards went off on McCoy's selfishness.
McCoy Will Not Shake Chip's Hand
Supporting that statement about McCoy being the one to blame, McCoy has already made it clear he will not shake the hand of his former coach. Given how much McCoy has trashed Kelly since leaving town, Kelly should be the one to make it a point not to shake hands after the game, win or lose. Fletcher Cox says he and McCoy can still be friends, after the game.
What About McCoy's Replacement?
Don't look now, but it seems Kelly has another running back issue to sort through with the player he hand-picked to replace McCoy. DeMarco Murray has struggled to live up to his career numbers this season and he reportedly had a meeting with owner Jeff Lurie. This is all giving Kelly one more mess to clean up with his star running back.
